How can we eliminate food waste by making mold edible and desirable?
We eat with our eyes. Being attracted to the appearance and colour of a product is what initially entices us to pick it up. Once we put it into our mouths the aroma and taste take over. The aim is to change our eating behaviors and patterns to create a new eating routine.
The concept is to re-engineer our digestive system to accept fungi-bacteria created by mold, to avoid any food wastage. Using a tool to coat our gut with the necessary bacteria (clostridia and fusobacteria) for building our immune system tolerance and further breaking down nutrients.
Hereby synthetically re-engineering food mold to look desirable and edible. Using color and texture to enhance the appearance of mold in order to mentally accept ingesting it.
